Ultra-modern and equipped to the highest standards, the Újhartyán plant is the latest production site to strengthen the international production network of REHAU Automotive. The company invested 150 million euros in its production facility, where exterior components such as bumpers and spoilers are manufactured and painted in three shifts using the injection molding process for well-known vehicle manufacturers. The automotive supplier received financial support for its construction project from the Hungarian state, promoting the creation of jobs. "We want to increase the number of employees from the current level of around 350 to up to 700 in the next two to three years. In addition to the current series production, other projects have already been commissioned and are in preparation," explains REHAU Automotive CEO Dr. Markus Distelhoff.
The heart of the plant is the state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly paint shop, in addition to spacious production and finishing areas and an administration building. The large, contiguous building, enables quick navigation. In addition, a central traffic yard was built to manage plant traffic.
The plant was commissioned more than two years ago. The delivery of the one-millionth painted component to customers throughout Eastern Europe was used as an opportunity to officially inaugurate the plant in a ceremony with the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó. "We have a great plant in a perfect environment and a promising growth market. I am thrilled with the high level of commitment with which the team in Újhartyán is working to make the new plant a success story," Distelhoff emphasized.
